The Specials are a UK ska-punk band.  As a young musician, I spent a lot of time listening to their records.  So it was a real pleasure when, decades later, I got to meet Horace Panter who is the bassist, a founding member, and a well-known visual artist.  We meet up and I catch their shows whenever they are in New York.

These images are from their July 18, 2013 concert at The Paramount in Huntington, New York.  It was a challenging show to photograph as I was in the midst of a roaring mosh pit of folks skanking, pogoing, and spilling beer with wild abandon.
