Happening today - finishing photographs taken at George Washington Birthplace National Monument
Drinks x Design is a series of events created by Design Core Detroit offering an opportunity for creative businesses throughout the city to share artwork with the public. Design Core Detroit champions design-driven businesses and their role in strengthening Detroit’s economy. 2025 marks 10 years of Detroit’s designation as the first and only UNESCO City of Design in the U.S.A.
A projection gallery exhibition celebrates historic this milestone with images that explore current innovations in photography. Twelve artists from around the nation were selected that demonstrated imaginative experimentation in their photographic work.
The exhibition includes images from Xiomaro’s Identity collection. Photographs of reflective surfaces such as shop windows, glass-enclosed bus shelters, polished metal panels, and water resulted in collage-like images that blurred the line between exterior, interior, and emotion reflecting back our distorted consciousness about ourselves. None of the photographs are manipulated with Photoshop, filters, artificial intelligence, or double exposures.
