The photographs are the first artistic collection documenting the beauty and textures of the key historical structures at Weir Farm National Historical Park. The homestead was continuously occupied by artists starting with J. Alden Weir, one of the founders of American Impressionism.
The photographs, on exhibit since 2012, can be seen in Congressman Himes’ reception area, conference room, and his office. Nine are at Stamford and ten are at Bridgeport. In the video below, the Congressman talks about the photographs when they were also exhibited at the Stamford Mayor’s Gallery located next door.
