Weir House Photos

Portions of the house are dark both in wall and trim color and in the natural lighting.  So, some of my photographs convey a sense of mood, perhaps melancholy, imparted by the coloring, lighting and emptiness of the house.

In many cases, the same feature of the house is the subject of more than one photograph.  This is because an object can appear differently under a variety of lighting conditions determined by the time of day, the weather, my location in relation to the object, etc.  It’s an approach I think Weir would have appreciated as it is akin to Monet’s series of paintings exploring the beauty of something as ordinary as haystacks when observed under varying conditions.
