"I've seen your wonderful photos, so was happy to order a copy of your new collection. The photo booklet came today. Very impressive and very beautiful."
  Bill Welsch

Glen Allen, Virginia

Twenty-five signed and numbered copies of this new booklet are available directly from me. Additional unsigned copies can be purchased at the museum store of Morristown National Historical Park.

The booklet features my photographs of the Ford Mansion, which served as George Washington's headquarters during the winter encampment of 1779-80. He spent several months there, joined by his wife Martha. The home was filled with a large entourage of officers, which included Alexander Hamilton, Marquis de Lafayette, Philip Schuyler, and Benedict Arnold.

The National Park Service commissioned the photographs of the 12-room Georgian Revival mansion. The images uniquely convey the duality of the home. "The domestic aspects are easily lost in the presence of Washington, but Xio has managed to capture the mansion’s essence as a home," explains curator Jude M. Pfister, the park’s Chief of Cultural Resources.
